During the recent spell of fine weather the opportunity was taken to finish the painting of the wheelsets. Four coats of paint and several weeks of work later, the wheels are shown after the last coat of gloss black was applied.
The leading coupled wheelset is shown above, it takes nearly four man hours to completely paint these large wheelsets.
The only work remaining on the wheelsets now, is the cleaning and polishing of the journals and crank pins.
